Mood: Depressed
This isn't easy so please work with me.
I am in Celebrate Recovery a Church recovery program.
I am in the army of the Lord and an adopted child of his.
I am in it for (here we go) depression and codependency.
However admitting it isn't the only thing I have to do.
I want to make a progress journal to record my progress through this and hopefully inspire others as well to want to do the same.
This includes the standard 12 steps and 8 principals. (I'll likely post these up later maybe.)
I got my starting chip starting June 6th.
Progress so far...
Written a letter of apology to someone I hurt and who hurt me. The apology was accepted. The letter I wrote spoke of forgiveness on a Biblical scale.
Apologized to a friend I hurt in what seemed like a few psychotic episodes and tell her thank you for sticking by me and that she makes a difference to me.
Gone back to a therapist that I had gone to previously and going to work on new goals. Since he has helped me in the past I want to make it present and future as well.
I'm going to need the support of many and be held accountable for what I do from now till then.
Goals I am setting...
Enroll into Holmes Bible College
Become and ordained minister.
Go on my first mission trip.
Volunteer somewhere to help others.
Forgive those that have wronged me in letter and prayer.
Apologize to anyone I have hurt.
Help another to find God.
Be truthful in whatever I say and not minimize how I feel for someone else's benefit.
Realize that I do have worth and not minimize that either.
